Sure, you don't need the highest spec gaming PC, nor the newest gaming mouse. But who would have thought that you can make it to Grandmaster without a mouse? I guess that this answers the question of whether you can play League with a trackpad.

Is it Possible to Play LoL With a Trackpad?
Yes, it is possible to play League of Legends with a trackpad. Multiple players have suffered through hand cramps by using their laptop trackpad instead of curving their hands over the back of a mouse.
On Reddit, League of Legends players have confirmed that they have played League of Legends on a trackpad before and that it might be difficult, but doable. The distinction between right and left click is tougher on a trackpad, especially a MacBook, wherein players have to either click with one or two fingers.

While with a mouse you'll be able to scroll and click with ease, the trackpad will have you on the edge of your seat playing League of Legends, in hopes that you don't move the camera to the wrong end of the map.
So yes, it might be possible to play League of Legends on a trackpad, but do we recommend it? No.

Can You Play FPS Games with a Trackpad?
An FPS game like Valorant is probably even more difficult than using a trackpad for League of Legends. The amount of fine motor skills needed to make a decent headshot or kill in an FPS are much higher than in League of Legends. But, as we checked out on the official Riot website and on Reddit, nothing speaks against using the trackpad for any FPS games either.

So if you want to show off some major god-like skills, then you're able to use your trackpad for FPS games and League of Legends as well. Just make sure you have time to stretch your hands and fingers every once in a while to keep from getting cramps in your delicate, precious hands!
Are There Specific Settings to Play League of Legends with a Trackpad?
There are no specific setting changes that have to be made when playing League of Legends with a trackpad. One thing we do suggest is not to have the camera locked onto your champion, since that limits your view of the field and makes it difficult to spot opponents if they ever want to gank you.
Also, locking the camera onto you also means you cannot click around the map to see how other lanes are doing either, which is useful to gain more information on your team and the state of the game. This isn't specific to playing League of Legends on a trackpad.
There you have it folks, yes, you can play League with a trackpad; no we do not suggest doing so. It is best to just buy a cheap mouse instead of suffering through a game of League of Legends.
