Can my computer run Black Ops 4?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the 5th installment in the Black Ops series and 15th overall, is the most ambitious Call of Duty to date. Whether your duty is to obliterate zombies aboard the Titanic or destroy your enemies in intense multiplayer firefights, Black Ops 4 has the gametype for you. On top of your standard Call of Duty game modes, BO4 introduced its own battle royale mode to take on the genre leaders like Playerunknown's Battlegrounds or Fortnite: Battle Royale. The battle royale map is a massive play area with the standard scattering of buildings and loot. What sets this map apart from other battle royales is not only its inclusion of air vehicles, like helicopters, but the existence of zombies in certain zones. After watching it remain in the most tested games list on CanYouRunIT for weeks leading up to release, there is clearly a ton of hype surrounding Black Ops 4 because of the inclusion of Blackout.

The system requirements for Black Ops 4 are a fair bit higher than its predecessor, Black Ops III, which makes sense knowing it has been three years since its release. Activision set the minimum GPU requirement at the GeForce GTX 660 and Radeon HD 7950. Once you've got the GPU covered, all you need is a CPU like a Core i3-4340 or a AMD FX-6300 and you'll be able to play Black Ops 4 on at least Low Settings with at least 30 FPS. A setup like that will be plenty to get you aboard the Titanic so you can start slaying zombies with your squad. Black Ops 4's graphics settings are abundant to say the least. If you find yourself lagging in firefights during Blackout or other game modes, you can tweak things like Model Quality, Texture Quality, Shadow Quality, and Motion Blur.

If you want to see every detail on your target's face before you pull the trigger on your Paladin HB50, you're going to need some strong hardware in the GPU and CPU department, not to mention a whopping 12 GB of RAM. The GeForce GTX 960/GeForce GTX 1070 and the Radeon R9 390/Radeon RX 580 are the recommended video cards that Activision says will get you to 60 FPS on High settings. Your computer also needs a CPU that's as strong or stronger than a Core i5-2500K, or its AMD equivalent, the Ryzen R5 1600X. Similar to the specs needed to run Forza Horizon 4, these recommended system requirements may seem daunting to some, but they are quickly becoming the industry norm.
